(March 28, 2025) — The Haddam-Killingworth Recreation Department is offering many fun and exciting programs this Spring. The flyer is posted at www.hkrec.com. On-line registration is available at http://hkrec.recdesk.com/recdeskportal/
A variety of programs will be offered, including:
- Scribble, Wiggle & Giggle (Ages 2-4) (Tuesdays, May 6 – June 3, 4:15 at HK High School)
- Mommy & Me Fitness (1 – 12 months) (M/W, Apr. 28 -May 21, 11:30 am at Crossfit Ironworks)
- Parent/Tot Swim (Age 1-2) (Thursdays, May 8 – June 5, 6:00 pm at HK HS Pool)
- Pre-School Swim (Age 3) (Tuesdays, May 6 – June 3, 6:00 pm at HK HS Pool)
- Skyhawks Sport Tots (Tuesdays, 5:00 – 5:45 pm (Ages 2 w/parent) 6:00 – 6:45 pm (Ages 3-4); April 29 – May 27 at HK High School outside)
- Archery (Wednesdays, beginning April 23, 5:30 pm at HK High School)
- Cookie Decorating (Monday, Apr. 28, 3:30 pm at Burr Elementary School or Monday, May 12, 3:30 pm at Killingworth Elementary School)
- Abrakadoodle Plug Into Your Imagination (Grades K – 6) (Wednesdays, beginning April 30, 3:30 pm at Burr Elementary School; Friday’s beginning, May 2, 3:30 pm at Killingworth Elementary School)
- Skyhawks Multi-Sport (Thursdays, May 1 – May 29, 5:00 pm at HK High School)
- Skyhawks Flag Football (Thursdays, May 1 – May 29, 6:00 pm at HK High School)
- Mandalorian/Jedi with Lego – Play-Well (Thursdays, May 1 – May 29, 3:30 pm at Burr Elementary School)
- Karate Kids (Mondays, beginning May 5, 3:30 pm at Burr Elementary School; Wednesdays, beginning May 7, 3:30 pm at Killingworth Elementary school)
- Engineering Workshops – Amusement Parks (Tuesdays, 5/6 at Burr Elementary School or 5/20 at Killingworth Elementary School, 3:30 – 5:00 pm)
- Hip Hop Heat (Thursdays, beginning May 8, 3:30 pm at Burr Elementary School)
- Zumba Kids (Wednesdays, beginning May 7, 3:30 pm at Burr Elementary School)
- Creative Art (Tuesdays 3:30 pm; May 13 – June 3 at Burr Elementary School)
- Swim Lessons (Ages 4 +) (Tuesday or Thursdays beginning, May 6, 6:30 pm at the HK High School Pool)
- Crossroads Driving (Zoom) (Mondays – Thursdays, 2:45 pm or 6:30 pm, Starting May 5th, June 4th)
Adult programs include:
- Fitness Yoga (Tuesdays (in person at HKI/MS Café) & Thursdays (Zoom), 7:00 pm, May 13 – June 19)
- Basic Boating (Mondays & Wednesdays, 5/19, 5/21 & 5/28, 6:00 pm at the HK High School)
- Beginner Pickleball (Mondays & Fridays, 4/21, 4/25, 4/28 & 5/2, 9:30 -11:30 am at Sheldon Park)
- Advanced Beginner Pickleball (Mondays & Fridays, 5/5, 5/9, 5/12 & 5/16, 9:30 -11:30 am at Sheldon Park)
- Aqua Aerobics (Mondays & Wednesdays, May 5 – May 21; May 28 – June 16, 6:30 pm at HK High School Pool)
- Cookie Decorating (Friday, May 16, 6:30 pm at HK High School)
Family programs include:
- New York Yankees vs. Tampa Bay Rays, Yankee Stadium, Bronx, New York (Sunday, May 4, 2025, Game begins at 1:05 p.m.). Must register by April 21, 2025.
