(February 3, 2025) — The Middlesex Hospital Vocal Chords Executive Board is now taking applications for the group’s annual scholarships to be awarded to Middlesex County students pursuing a career in music or nursing. In our thirty-five year history, we have awarded $87,000 in scholarship money.
Applicants must have been accepted at an accredited college or university with one of these majors. The Review Committee will consider academic record, extracurricular and community service activities, as well as the student’s ability to articulate his/her career goals and the recommendations of the references. The scholarships will be paid directly to the recipients at the spring concert which will be held on Saturday May 3, 2025 at Portland High School.
All applications must be postmarked by Friday March 14, 2025 and can be obtained at high school guidance offices throughout Middlesex County, or by visiting vocalchords20.org. If you would like to make a donation to the scholarship fund, please visit our website.
