Haddam Senior and Social Services Report, May 2024

(June, 7, 2024) — Haddam Senior and Social Services provided the following services to the community during the month of May, 2024. Please note that the Social Services report includes totals for the Municipal Agent.

Senior and Social Services

Haddam Emergency Food bank serviced a total of 109 individuals: 56 seniors, 34 adults and 19 children. In addition to food, Haddam Emergency Food Bank provided two families with gift cards to local restaurants and/or grocery stores in town.

Haddam Emergency Fuel Bank serviced one family with fuel assistance: 0- Oil, 1- Electricity, 0- Pellets, 0- Propane

Haddam Social Services serviced five individuals with paperwork assistance.

Haddam Social Services/Clothing Bank serviced 209 people with clothing.

Haddam Social Services did one wellness check during May 2024.

Senior Van

The Senior Van serviced a total of 83 individuals, transporting 26 to medical appointments, 11 to/from the Senior Center, and 29 to the weekly shopping trip for May 2024.

Haddam Senior Center

Open twelve days during May.

The Haddam Senior Center distributed 115 Estuary Meals for the month and had 256 attendees at the Senior Center.

26 Seniors attended Channel 3 Meteorologist Mike Slifer’s program.

19 Seniors attended the Pearls From Carol program.

18 Seniors attended Pizza and a Movie.

There were seven days where twenty or more Seniors were in attendance the Center.
