Boys Basketball 2024: HKHS Defeats Academy of Computer Science & Engineering

(February 17, 2024) — The Haddam-Killingworth High School Boys Basketball team defeated Academy of Computer Science & Engineering on February 16, 2024 by a score of 70-49.  HK is now 13-6 on the season.

The Cougars were led by junior Andrew Crayton, who had 25 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists, and senior co-captain Blake Kamoen, who had 20 points and 15 rebounds. Sophomore Jay Evans had a strong showing with 8 points, 3 steals and 6 assists while sophomore Declan Moriarty continued to demonstrate his commitment to the game, playing tough on offense and defense with 6 points and 2 assists.

Senior co-captains Bryce O’Linn and Luke Mauri played solid defense and contributed 4 and 2 points, respectively. Mauri also had 3 assists, 1 block and 1 steal. Junior Joe Slane continued to fight hard under the boards, securing 5 rebounds and garnering 3 steals.

Next up for the Cougars: the final regular season game Wednesday February 21, 2024 at Academy of International Studies. JV at 4:00 p.m., Varsity at 5:30 p.m. See you on the court.
