(January 27, 2024) — Kari Mitchell of Killingworth has joined the law firm of Neubert, Pepe, & Monteith, P.C., as counsel. She is based in their White Plains, New York office and is admitted to the bar in Massachusetts as well as the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut.

Attorney Mitchell represents debtors, creditors, committees, and trustees in bankruptcy matters. With extensive experience in Chapter 11 reorganizations and in bankruptcy litigation, she appreciates the technical nature of the bankruptcy code and enjoys devising practical solutions to the complex problems that can arise in any case.

She said she’s enjoying her new position with Neubert, Pepe, & Monteith, P.C., “Joining the Neubert, Pepe & Monteith, P.C. family has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made professionally. I’ve am enjoying working with all the smart, motivated, determined, and like-minded individuals that are members of this firm. I cannot wait to see what the future brings.”

Douglas Skalka, managing partner for the firm, said, “We’re very pleased that Kari has decided to make her professional home with us because she brings a wealth of experience as well as a talent for the law that is helping our clients. She is
an asset as well as a friendly face when she visits our Connecticut offices in New Haven, Hartford, and Fairfield.” Attorney Mitchell graduated from the University of Massachusetts, magna cum laude, and received her J.D. from Suffolk University Law School.

Out of the office, she pursues her second passion: cooking. Attorney Mitchell enjoys spending hours in the kitchen attempting to master all types of cuisines, from classic French and Italian to authentic Mexican and Chinese. She loves being with her family, friends, and spoiling her dog.
