9 Town Transit: New Face Covering Requirement

Submitted by Joseph Comerford.

The Governor issued Executive Order No. 7BB, effective Monday, April, 20, 2020, at 8:00 pm, requiring the use of face masks or face coverings when it is not possible to maintain a safe distance of six feet or more from others while in public. All passengers who can do so are required to wear a face mask or face covering on any public transportation service in Connecticut, and within any semi-enclosed transit stop, waiting area, or station.

This measure is in addition to the requirement that public transportation is to be used for essential travel only such as getting to and from work or for procuring essential needs. Customers who feel sick should not use public transportation.
