(November 26, 2025) — Blue Fire Stage Company is pleased to announce a new community partnership with the United Congregational Church of Haddam and Higganum for its upcoming holiday production of The Best Christmas Pageant Ever by Barbara Robinson.
The collaboration brings together local talent through family-friendly storytelling. Both
organizations share community-centered and inclusive missions that celebrate
compassion, creativity, and belonging. Their shared values make this a natural partnership
that supports and uplifts each mission in meaningful ways.
The production, a beloved holiday classic, tells the story of a church Christmas pageant
turned upside down when the notorious Herdman siblings join the cast for the first time.
With a large ensemble of children, adults, and familiar Christmas carols, the show
promises laughter, warmth, and a joyful start to the holiday season.
“We’re thrilled to partner with UCCHH and their Christian Education Committee on this
production,” said Brionna Ingraham, representing Blue Fire Stage Company. “This
collaboration allows us to bring even more families into the world of theater and create a
truly community-centered holiday event. It’s a funny, heartfelt story that celebrates
compassion, connection, and the spirit of the season.”
UCCHH’s Christian Education Director, Amy Harlow, echoed that enthusiasm. “Our church
believes deeply in nurturing children’s spiritual journeys through creativity, imagination,
and shared experiences. The Best Christmas Pageant Ever offers a beautiful
opportunity to see the Christmas story through fresh eyes. By partnering with Blue Fire
Stage Company, we’re inviting families to explore faith, compassion, and the heart of the
season in a way that is both joyful and deeply meaningful.”
The partnership includes shared space, resources, and volunteer support, strengthening
ties between the performing arts and local community organizations. A cast of 16 kids and
11 adults is directed by the experienced production team of Blue Fire Stage Company, with
special cameo appearances by members of UCCHH. Each performance will conclude with
free cookies and hot cocoa for patrons, production cast and crew, and volunteers.
Performances will take place December 11 to 14 at the United Congregational Church of
Haddam, 905 Saybrook Road, Haddam, CT. Tickets are available online at
bluefirestage.org, or by email to info@bluefirestage.org.
