(September 10, 2025) — A suspicious incident on Staba Drive in Haddam on September 7, 2025 involved a “meth lab,” an official with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration has confirmed.
The agency assisted with the cleanup of the lab, according to Kristen Govostes, a spokesperson for the DEA’s New England Division.
Govostes said that that was the extent of the agency’s involvement, and Connecticut State Police were investigating.
Troopers were called to Staba Drive for a suspicious incident, according to police. Police closed the road at the time and asked people to avoid the area as the scene was active.
Connecticut State Police said that the investigation remained “active and ongoing” and “no further information is available so as to not interfere with the investigation.”
Further details were not immediately available.
