(August 26, 2025) — The University of Rhode Island celebrated more than 3,500 of its newest alumni during the University’s 2025 Commencement held this past May. Nearly 3,600 undergraduate degrees and 600 graduate degrees were conveyed to students during the ceremonies. Among the graduates were:
- Maya Casagrande of Higganum graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Global Business Management
- Kaleigh Rakowski of Killingworth graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Morgan Schultz of Killingworth graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Film Media
- Cornelius Tyson of Higganum graduated with a Master of Marine Affairs, MMA
Students who received the honor summa cum laude graduated with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.7; students who received the honor of magna cum laude graduated with a GPA of at least 3.50; and students who received the honor of cum laude graduated with a GPA of at least 3.3.
