Haddam Republican Primary to be Held on September 9th

(August 9, 2025) — The Town of Haddam will hold a Republican Primary on Tuesday, September 9, 2025. for nomination to the following Municipal Office to be filled at the Town Election to be held on November 4, 2025.

Office: Town Clerk

Term: January 5, 2026 – January 7, 2030

Notice is hereby given that the following is the party-endorsed candidate of the Republican Party for nomination to said Municipal Office, together with the street address of said candidates:

*Sarah Pytlik, 80 Park Road, Haddam, CT, 06438

Notice is also given that the following enrolled member of the Republican Party has filed a petition in conformity with Sec. 9-406 of the General Statutes, as candidate for nomination to said Municipal Office:

Bob Siegrist, 148 Pokorny Road, Higganum, CT, 06441

Polls will be open from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on September 9, 2025.

EARLY VOTING DATES AND TIMES

NOTE:  Early Voting is available only at the Haddam Firehouse, 439 Saybrook Road in Higganum each day from 10:00 a.m. to  6:00 p.m. on September 3^rd, 5^th, 6^th, and 7^th

On September 2^nd and September 4^th early voting hours are 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Three Polling Places on September 9, 2025 are as follows:

*Haddam Firehouse Community Hall,  439 Saybrook Road. (Route 154), Higganum

*Regional School District 17 Central Office, 57 Little City Road, Higganum

*Haddam Neck Firehouse,  50 Rock Landing Road, Haddam Neck

*Curbside voting available for voters “with a disability”

Absentee Ballots will be counted at the following central location: The Haddam Firehouse, 439 Saybrook Road in Higganum.

Mail-in voter registration application must be received by the Registrar of Voters and  postmarked by August 22, 2025.

In-person voter registration by a new or unaffiliated voter (changing to vote for a party) must be done at the office of the Town Clerk or the office of the Registrar of Voters by 12:00 Noon on September 8, 2025.

The deadline to transfer from one party to another party and vote was June 9, 2025 (there is a three month waiting period).
