UCCHH Hosts Golf Tournament September 14th

(July 24, 2025) — The United Congregational Church of Haddam and Higganum (UCCHH) invites you to register for its annual Ron Booth Mission Golf Outing, to be held on Sunday, September 14, 2025 at the Lyman Orchards Golf Club (Player Course) in Middlefield. Sign- in begins at 8:30 a.m. with a 9:30 a.m. shotgun start.

This annual event promises to be a day filled with camaraderie, friendly competition and support for the community.  Ron and Betsey Booth organized this outing more than ten years ago. Ron was a longtime church member and former owner of Hall’s Market in West Hartford.  He passed away in 2018.  Ron felt that you should do something kind for the other guy and be a friend.

The price for 18 holes is $160 and $110 for 9 holes.  Registration includes greens fees, cart, lunch “at the turn,” a personal-size Lyman Orchards apple pie, and a gourmet dinner overlooking the Connecticut River (at 130 Dublin Hill Road in Higganum).  Dinner will begin at 3:00 p.m. and feature a menu of grilled steak, grilled chicken, appetizers, side dishes, salads, desserts and an open bar.  Dinner-only tickets are available for $45.  Children 12 and under eat free (hamburgers/hot dogs).

Awards and prizes will be presented at dinner, along with live music and a large array of raffle prizes.

Because of Ron’s passion for golf, a portion of the proceeds is donated to The First Tee of Connecticut, a program that exposes golf to underprivileged youth. Register on-line at    UCCHH Ron Booth Mission Golf.  Register by August 8, 2025 to be automatically entered into a drawing for $100!
