(June 19, 2025) — The Travelers Chorale celebrated its 100th year this past May and, at its final concert of the year at the Bushnell in Hartford, the group also celebrated John and Mary Nork of Higganum.
John Nork met Mary Prezalor at rehearsals of the Chorale in 1967. They were married in March of 1968. They are the only couple to have met as members of the Chorale and are still married, these 57 years later.
The Norks were invited, as honored guests, to the final Chorale Concert of the year, and Chorale President Kimberly Skov acknowledged the couple in the audience and asked them to stand and receive a standing ovation from the crowd.
In addition to this honor, the Chorale created a four-minute video where the Norks were interviewed about their whirlwind and long-lasting married life together.
