(April 14, 2025) — You can find the best prices ever on used books at the Brainerd Library. Our Book Nook sells both hard and soft cover books, priced at only a dollar or two—and children’s books are even less. Despite the tiny price tags, many are in like-new condition, because volunteer members of the Friends of the Library donate their time every week to weed out damaged or obsolete books. It’s a great resource for that book you want to keep and reread, an inexpensive choice to take on vacation without worrying about leaving it behind, a care package for someone homebound or hospitalized, or even Christmas stocking stuffers.
