(April 11, 2025) — As part of ongoing upgrades to strengthen the electric system and improve reliability for customers, Eversource is using a helicopter (yellow helicopter– tail #N5072F) to replace the existing line at the top of transmission towers with a more advanced fiber optic communication wire. The new line will be installed in parts of Haddam and East Haddam and will allow Eversource to enhance communications between its electrical substations.
Flights will happen intermittently through the end of April, 2025 between 7:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., weather permitting, at the utility right-of-way in Haddam and East Haddam.
