Find a Fur Baby: Meet Banjo and Honey

Submitted by Judith Levin

(September 27, 2024) — Can you believe these beautiful babies were found abandoned and so scared a few weeks ago?

Banjo and Honey came from another Animal Control so they would have more exposure to people and learn how to be dogs.

Toys? They did not know what they were, but now they’re learning to have fun and are coming along quite nicely. With some time, love, and realizing no one is going to hurt them again, they will make the best pets.

Both dogs are so sweet. They have the butt wiggle going on when they see someone. Both are between one to two years in age. Banjo was neutered, Honey spayed and both are up-to-date with their shots. They are quite shy and timid at first, but will warm up to you quickly. Make sure you have a LOT of treats when you go meet them. It is all about the treats!

Banjo and Honey do not need to be adopted together. They are okay with other dogs but have not been cat-tested.

If you can open your hearts and give them a forever home, please call Old Lyme Animal Control at 860-434-1605, extension 244 or email them at  animalcontrol@oldlyme-ct.gov and ask for an application.

A Happy Note: All three of the cats featured in last week’s post have been adopted! Thank you to all who took the time to care.
