Brainerd Library Hosts Fundraiser in Ivoryton October 18th

Submitted by Robbie Marshall, Brainerd Memorial Library

(September 23, 2024) — Brainerd Memorial Library will present An Evening in Ivoryton!,  a fundraiser to benefit BML on Friday, October 18, 2024.

Join us for a fun and engaging night of celebration and discussion. The evening begins with a Pre-Party at 6:30 p.m. in the charming Victorian Ivoryton Library building for light food and beverages, before our group attends Alabama Story at 8:00 p.m. at the Ivoryton Playhouse.

Alabama Story is a rousing tale based on the 1959 censorship case surrounding Garth Williams’s book The Rabbits’ Wedding. After the production, attendees will be treated to discussion with the actors about this topic and the play itself.

Tickets are $75 and can be ordered at the library, by phone at 860-345-2204 or on our website:  https://brainerdlibrary.org/ or in person at the library, 920 Saybrook Road in Haddam.

Proceeds benefit Brainerd Memorial Library, supporting and expanding programs, services and material collections. We hope to see you there!
