Eversource Announces 2024 Energy Excellence Award Winners

(September 11, 2024) — In recognition of innovative energy efficiency and electric mobility infrastructure projects deployed with its business partners over the past year, Eversource is proud to announce the winners of the 2024 Eversource Energy Excellence Awards. These awards recognize remarkable business partners across Eversource’s Commercial and Industrial (C&I) portfolio in Connecticut, Massachusetts and New Hampshire who are leading by example with comprehensive clean energy solutions that are driving energy savings and decarbonization outcomes.

“This year’s ten winners distinguished themselves as outstanding energy efficiency and electric mobility business partners, delivering energy-saving solutions for businesses, manufacturers and municipalities across the three states we serve,” said Vice President of Energy Efficiency and Electric Mobility Tilak Subrahmanian. “We are extremely proud to recognize the 2024 Excellence Award winners for their innovative thinking and sustainable solutions as they help us to achieve a clean energy future by reducing carbon emissions and lowering costs for our commercial and industrial customers. We look forward to continuing this important work together to help combat climate change and provide our customers with greater control over their energy use and costs.”

Selected from a large pool of applicants, Eversource’s 2024 Energy Excellence Award winners were judged on a variety of criteria ranging from their ability to maximize savings and value for each customer to the comprehensiveness and creativity of their solutions.

Eversource’s 2024 Eversource Excellence Award winners include the following:

  • Equity Award: Recognizes projects that benefited underserved communities or otherwise represented efforts to provide more equitable access to Eversource programs.
    • CET
  • Decarbonization Award: Recognizes business partners whose projects and initiatives focused on helping customers decrease their use of equipment powered by fossil fuels.
    • Energy Resources
  • Energy Efficiency Retrofit Project Award: Recognizes comprehensive energy efficiency projects for customers of differing energy use profiles.
    • Large C&I (7.6 Million kWh/ 100,000 therms or more per year)
      • B2Q
    • Mid-Sized C&I (1.4 Million – 7.6 Million kWh/ 40,001 – 99,999 therms per year)
      • NuWave Energy Solutions
    • Small C&I (1.4 Million kWh/ 40,000 therms or less per year)
      • Efficient Lighting Maintenance
  • Supply Chain Partner: Recognizes innovative supply chain partners, participating dealers and distributors, whose projects used energy efficient solutions to drive and maximize savings for end use customers.
    • Graybar Electric
  • New Construction: Design of the Year: Recognizes innovative C&I new construction, major renovation, and/or design projects.
    • Thornton Tomasetti
  • EV Charging Infrastructure: Recognizes outstanding Eversource electric vehicle charging infrastructure efforts that have been completed and energized.
    • Maverick Electric Vehicle Services 
  • Focused Scope: Recognizes noteworthy single measure projects that maximize energy savings for customers.
    • Energy Resources
  • Municipal: Recognizes energy efficiency projects implemented in municipal buildings.
    • CMTA, a Legence company
