2025 Revaluation Underway for Haddam

(August 16, 2024) — The Town of Haddam is getting ready for the upcoming 2025 Revaluation.  This is required by Connecticut State Statute.

According to the Assessor’s Office inspectors will be visiting only those properties with open and active permits, or those where there is a need to inspect and verify information. This information has been posted on the Town of Haddam website and the Resident State Troopers have been notified of the activities being undertaken by eQuality Valuation Services, LLC.

Below you will find a breakdown of the revaluation schedule:

August, 2024: Photos to be taken of all properties.  The next phase of the revaluation will begin in the spring of 2025.

May/June, 2025: Forms will be mailed to all residential property owners. These are to be filled out and returned.

June/July, 2025: A Data Collection Team will be visiting all homes with open and active permits. Please note the Data Collection Team will be wearing shirts with the eQuality logo on them. They will have identification lanyards around their necks, and magnets on their vehicles identifying their company and the Assessor’s Office.

June/September, 2025: Calls will begin to taxpayers who have submitted a data mailer and requested a call from a representative. Two attempts will be made.

September/November, 2025: Assessor review

November/December, 2025: Assessment notices to be mailed to all property owners.

November/December, 2025: Informal hearings will be conducted to hear from taxpayers with grievances.

January, 2026:   Results with final assessed values will be mailed to taxpayers who received an informal hearing.
