A Little Compassion Names New Executive Director

(June 7, 2024) — A Little Compassion, Inc., the beloved community organization dedicated to supporting young adults with disabilities, is pleased to announce the appointment of Bill Furgueson as its new Executive Director. Bill will succeed Jane Moen, who has retired after years of outstanding leadership and service.

Bill Furgueson (photo above, right, with Jane Moen) joins A Little Compassion with a robust background in nonprofit management and a deep commitment to empowering individuals with disabilities. After more than twenty years as a teacher, he has done fundraising and marketing at both the Mystic Museum of Art and The Arc ECT. His vision and expertise will be invaluable as he leads the organization into its next chapter.

Jane Moen’s tenure as Executive Director has been marked by significant achievements, including the expansion of services and increased community engagement. Her passion and dedication have left an indelible mark on the organization and the many lives it has touched.

“I am honored to have the opportunity to build on Jane’s incredible legacy,” said Mr. Furgueson. “I look forward to working with our dedicated team and community partners to continue making a positive impact in the lives of young adults with disabilities.”

The Board of Directors extends its heartfelt thanks to Jane Moen for her years of tireless service and wishes her a fulfilling and joyful retirement.

A Little Compassion is a non-profit organization based in Deep River, dedicated to creating opportunities and support for young adults with disabilities. Through innovative programs and community engagement, A Little Compassion strives to foster an inclusive and compassionate society.
