Haddam Women’s Club Offers Amanda Lisitano Memorial Scholarship

Submitted by Kate Brencher

(March 19, 2024) — In loving memory of Amanda Lisitano, the Haddam Women’s Club proudly announces the Amanda June Lisitano Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship serves as a tribute to Amanda’s unwavering dedication to her community, her family, and her profession. As a lifelong resident of Haddam/Higganum, Amanda’s impact resonated deeply, touching the lives of many.

Amanda’s legacy is one of selflessness and service. As a devoted pre-school teacher in Hartford, a nurturing mother of three young children, and an active member of the Haddam Junior Women’s Club, she exemplified compassion and generosity in all aspects of her life. Despite her own battles with cancer, Amanda’s spirit remained resilient, leaving an indelible mark on those who knew her.

The Amanda June Lisitano Memorial Scholarship aims to perpetuate Amanda’s legacy of kindness and altruism. It seeks to support graduating high school seniors from Haddam, Higganum, or Haddam Neck who embody Amanda’s spirit of giving back to their community and demonstrate a commitment to service.

Applications for the scholarship must be postmarked by April 26, 2024. Interested students can access the application form on the Haddam Women’s Club website or through Naviance. By applying for this scholarship, students not only honor Amanda’s memory, but also contribute to ensuring her generous spirit continues to inspire others for years to come.
