Haddam Senior and Social Services Report for February 2024

(March 14, 2024) — The following Haddam Senior and Social Services programs serviced the community during the month of February, 2024. Please note: Social Services report includes totals for the Municipal Agent.

Senior and Social Services

Haddam Emergency Food Bank serviced a total of sixty adults and twenty children. In addition to food, Haddam Emergency Food Bank serviced two families with gift cards to local restaurants and/or grocery stores in town.

Haddam Emergency Fuel Bank serviced a total of four families with fuel assistance: 2- Oil, 1- Electricity, 0- Pellets, 1- Propane

Haddam Social Services/Clothing Bank serviced three individuals with paperwork assistance.

Haddam Social Services/Clothing Bank serviced 130 people with clothing.

Haddam Social Services did no wellness checks during February, 2024.

Senior Van

The Senior Van serviced eight medical appointments for February, transported eight seniors to/from the Haddam Senior Center, and nineteen seniors attended the weekly shopping trips during February, 2024.

Haddam Senior Center

The Center was open on twelve days during the month of February. It closed for one snow day and one holiday.

The Haddam Senior Center distributed 120 Estuary Meals for the month of February 2024 and had 214 attendees at the Senior Center.

The Tax Relief Program for the Elderly was cancelled due to snow and rescheduled to March.

6 seniors attended the Crafts

7 seniors attended the Estuary trip to the Culinary Institute of America.

6 seniors attended the CRAHD Heart Health Program

15 seniors attended Pizza and a Movie

There were five days total where 20 or more people attended the Senior Center:

3 days- 25 people

1 day- 20 people

1 day- 24 people
