Swing Bridge Construction Update: Week of February 18, 2024

(February 18, 2024) — The Connecticut Department of Transportation advises the following construction activities at the Haddam/East Haddam Swing Bridge (Route 82) for the upcoming week of February 18, 2024.

63-Hour Bridge Closure

  • No 63-hour bridge closure this week.

Overnight Bridge Closures

There will be overnight closures as follows:

  • Sunday night (2/18) into Monday morning (2/19) – 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
  • Monday night (2/19) into Tuesday morning (2/20) – 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
  • Tuesday night (2/20) into Wednesday morning (2/21) – 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
  • Wednesday night (2/21) into Thursday morning (2/22) – 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
  • Thursday night (2/22) into Friday morning (2/23) – 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
  • Friday night (2/23) into Saturday morning (2/24) – 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.
  • Marine Advisory
    • The swing span is no longer opening to accommodate marine traffic passage. Scheduled openings will resume on April 1, 2024.
