Boys Basketball 2024: HKHS Victorious over Hale-Ray

(February 8, 2024) — The Haddam-Killingworth High School Boys Varsity Basketball team defeated Nathan Hale-Ray High School on February 7, 2024, by a score of 74-42. The Cougars are now 11-5 on the season.

HKHS was led by senior co-captain Blake Kamoen, who had 17 points and 13 rebounds. Declan Moriarty had 16 and Andrew Crayton had 14 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists. Ryan Erskine played solid offense with 4 points and 4 assists while junior Joe Slane continues to play aggressively securing 4 key rebounds and contributing 6 points. Rounding out the scoring Jay Evans had 11, and Freshmen Kody Lehet and Brody Ferguson had 4 and 2 points, respectively. Freshmen Noah Marica and Ethan Pitts and junior Jake McKenzie also saw playing time with Marica securing 3 rebounds.

Next up, the Cougars will play Valley Regional at Valley on Friday February 9, 2024. JV at 5:30 p.m., Varsity at 7:00 p.m. See you on the court.
