Haddam Senior and Social Services Report for January 2024

(February 6, 2024) — The following Haddam Senior and Social Services programs provided services to the community during the month of January 2024. The Social Services report includes totals for the Municipal Agent.

Senior and Social Services

Haddam Emergency Food Bank serviced a total of 82 adults and 20 children. In addition to food, Haddam Emergency Food Bank serviced four families with gift cards to local restaurants and/or grocery stores in town.

Haddam Emergency Fuel Bank serviced a total of four families with fuel assistance: 3- Oil, 1- Electricity, 0- Pellets, 0- Propane

Haddam Social Services/Clothing Bank serviced five individuals with paperwork assistance.

Haddam Social Services/Clothing Bank serviced 189 people with clothing.

Haddam Social Services did no wellness checks during January 2024.

Senior Van

The Senior Van serviced eight medical appointments for January, and ten seniors in total attended the weekly shopping trip for January 2024.

The Senior Van took six seniors on the Estuary Field Trip.

Haddam Senior Center

Open eleven days during the month of January. Closed for one snow day and one holiday.

The Haddam Senior Center distributed 104 Estuary Meals for the month of January 2024 and had 189 attendees at the Senior Center.

The craft was cancelled due to a snow day.

15 seniors attended Pizza and a Movie

17 seniors attended the Fraud Program

18 seniors attended the Estuary Field Trip

There were three days where 20+ seniors attended the Senior Center.
