(January 21, 2024) — The Connecticut Department of Transportation advises the following construction activities at the Haddam/East Haddam Swing Bridge (Route 82) for the upcoming week of January 21, 2024:
63 Hour Bridge Closure
A 63-hour closure is scheduled for January 28, 2024 beginning at 8:00 p.m. The bridge will re-open to traffic no later than 11:00 a.m. on January 31, 2024.
Overnight Bridge Closures The contractor will be performing overnight bridge closures as follows:
Sunday night (1/21) into Monday morning (1/22) – 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
- Monday night (1/22) into Tuesday morning (1/23) – 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
- Tuesday night (1/23) into Wednesday morning (1/24) – 7:00 p.m. 6:00 a.m.
- Wednesday night (1/24) into Thursday morning (1/25) – 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
- Thursday night (1/25) into Friday morning (1/26) – 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
- Friday night (1/26) into Saturday morning (1/27) – 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.
Marine Advisory
- The swing span is no longer opening to accommodate marine traffic passage. Scheduled openings will resume on April 1, 2024.
