Haddam Senior and Social Services Report, December 2023

(January 9, 2024) — The following is a report of activities from Haddam Senior and Social Services for the month of December, 2023. Please note, the Social Services report includes totals for the Municipal Agent.

Senior and Social Services 

The following programs serviced the community: 

Haddam Emergency Food Bank serviced 69 adults and 11 children; in addition to food, Haddam Emergency Food Bank serviced five families with gift cards to local restaurants and/or grocery stores in town. 

Haddam Emergency Fuel Bank serviced a total of 3 families with fuel assistance: 2- Oil, 1- Electricity, 0- Pellets, 0- Propane 

Haddam Social Services serviced three individuals with paperwork assistance.

Haddam Social Services/Clothing Bank serviced 170 people with clothing.

Haddam Social Services provided 30 Christmas baskets for the community. 

Haddam Social Services did no wellness checks during December 2023. 

Senior Van

The Senior Van serviced five medical appointments in December, and an average of three seniors attended the weekly shopping trip. 

Haddam Senior Center

Open 11 days during the month of December.

The Haddam Senior Center distributed 66 Estuary Meals in December 2023 and had 181 visitors at the Senior Center. 

13 seniors attended Pizza and a Movie #1

18 seniors attended Pizza and a Movie #2

7 seniors attended Holiday Crafts

23 seniors attended Holiday Potluck with Brian May

There were three days where twenty or more seniors were in attendance at the Senior Center. The dates and actual attendance numbers are as follows:
