Find a Fur Baby: Hello Again from Ducky

Submitted by Judith Levin

(January 5, 2024) — Poor Ducky was picked up by the Haddam Animal Control Officer as a stray. He has been at the pound for many months now and needs a home of his own. He is a mixed breed, around two to three years old.

Since my last post about him, Ducky has been neutered, up to date with his shots and is doing fantastic! Even though Animal Control does not really know much about this handsome little guy, they do know he is extremely sweet and friendly.

He will sit for treats, loves to play ball, walk, take hikes and just be with you everywhere you go. I have been with him on quite a few occasions and can vouch for that. I just do not get why this guy has not had any interest. He is the BEST dog and there is nothing not to like about him. Not only is he so darn cute, but he is also a complete mush and a happy guy.

He absolutely loves people, is good with dogs he has met, but has not been tested with kitties. He has gained some weight and is looking so much better. When you visit him, he will put his paws on your lap and rest his head to look at you, praying you will take him home.

He would do great with some basic obedience training, which is normal for all dogs, but he is the perfect dog other than that.

Won’t you open your hearts to him? It has been such a long time for him to be in the kennel. If you would like to meet Ducky, please contact Animal Control Officer April at:  860-682-2710. You can also send an email to actanimals@comcast.net.

Let’s finally get this beautiful boy home. I know Ducky cannot wait to meet you!
