(Feb. 3, 2021) As the Covid 19 Pandemic continues to force libraries to seek alternative means of serving their communities, a cherished annual event will go on, having been transformed into a socially distanced one: “Take Your Child to the Library Day” which usually takes place on the first Saturday in February, is now “Take the Library to Your Child” a month-long reading celebration that will include prize drawings for children who check out books, a “pop-up” trivia quiz for the adults in their lives, and recommendations from our library staff on their favorite children’s books.
Children checking out library books between January 9 – February 12, 2021 are eligible to win prizes by submitting a form listing the books and placing it in the library’s special “mailbox” on the curbside pickup table. Blank forms will be available at the curbside pickup table. Winners will be contacted on February 13.
