(October 9, 2024) — On October 8, 2024 at 8:30 p.m., members of Haddam Volunteer Fire Company, with mutual aid response from Chester Hose Company, responded to a vehicle fire on Route 9 North between exits 10 and 13 (old 7 and 8).
The vehicle’s operator self-extricated and refused any medical treatment. Crews worked for about an hour to extinguish the fire. They closed one lane of traffic during the incident.
The Haddam Fire Marshal is investigating.
