June 12, 2019

The Haddam Resident State Troopers Office is investigating a burglary that occurred overnight at approximately 2:30 AM, at New Image Automotive, Killingworth Road, Higganum.  State Police Troop F received a call regarding an active vehicle alarm at New Image Auto parking lot. Surveillance video captured a young male, driving what appears to be a mid sized dark colored SUV and parking along Burr Road in front of New Image Auto. The male exited the SUV and gained entry into the New Image impound lot area, where he rummaged through several vehicles as well as the vehicles parked in the main parking lot.    The suspect is described as having dark, long hair, wearing tan pants, gray t-shirt and gray sneakers with white soles. The male is captured walking back to the SUV holding jumper cables taken from New Image Auto. The SUV then left the scene headed west on Burr Road.   This suspect appears to be involved in other overnight unlocked vehicle burglaries in the Higganum area.
