Track 2019: HKHS Boys Place 1st at Shoreline Championship; Girls Place 3rd

Boys Championship Team

The Shoreline Championship Meet was held on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at Coginchaug High School in Durham.  The boys placed 1st with 174.5 points, followed by Coginchaug and Old Saybrook, while the girls placed 3rd with 107 points behind Old Saybrook and East Hampton.

Some highlights from the day for the HK boys:

  • 4 x 800m Relay – The HK team of Kyle Criscuolo, Seth Freeman, Matt Jennings, and Christian Uzwiak placed 2nd with a time of 8:28.01
  • 4 x 100m Relay – The HK team of Tyler Knapp, Dalton Modehn, Dmytri Mallon, and Seth Regan placed 5th with a time of 45.54
  • 100m High Hurdles – Luke Sodergren placed 3rd with a time of 16.00
  • 100m Dash – Seth Regan placed 3rd with a time of 11.34
  • 1600m Run – Matt Jennings placed 2nd with a time of 4:29.56, Christian Uzwiak placed 4th with a time of 4:43.75, and Sean Rutledge placed 5th with a time of 4:45.83
  • 400m Dash – Dmytri Mallon placed 2nd with a time of 52.05
  • 300m Hurdles – Luke Sodergren placed 5th with a time of 42.85
  • 800m Run – Seth Freeman placed 3rd with a time of 2:07.60
  • 200m Dash – Seth Freeman placed 2nd with a time of 22.60
  • 3200m Run – Matt Jennings placed 2nd with a time of 10:06.74, Christian Uzwiak placed 4th with a time of 10:19.83, and Fisher Harris placed 5th with a time of 10:22.28
  • 4 x 400m Relay – the HK team of Kyle Criscuolo, Owen Howes, Dmytri Mallon, and Luke Sodergren placed 1st with a time of 3:32.45
  • Shot Put – Colton Lavoie placed 1st with a distance of 45’00.50″, Wally Sample placed 3rd with a distance of 41’03.50″, and Trey Callender placed 4th with a distance of 40’08.75″
  • Pole Vault – Tyler Knapp placed 5th with a height of 12’00.00″
  • High Jump – Eamon Sweeney placed 2nd with a height of 5’08.00″
  • Discus Throw – Colton Lavoie placed 2nd with a distance of 129’02.00″, Trey Callender placed 3rd with a distance of 123’04.00″ and Chase Mack placed 4th with a distance of 113’00.00″
  • Javelin – John Bosco placed 4th with a distance of 145’07.00″ and Wally Sample placed 5th with a distance of 143’07.00″

Some highlights from the day for the HK girls:

  • 4 x 800m Relay – The HK team of Emma Anziano, Hailey Cassidey, Julia Callis, and Amanda Minervino placed 1st with a time of 9:50.35
  • 4 x 100m Relay – The HK team of Elena Boyington, Ly-Linh Criscuolo, Autumn Coady, and Ashley Duncanson placed 3rd with a time of 53.19
  • 100m High Hurdles – Autumn Coady placed 2nd with a time of 16.80, and Sadie Strom placed 3rd with a time of 17.41
  • 1600m Run – Emma Anziano placed 3rd with a time of 5:14.20
  • 300m Hurdles – Autumn Coady placed 2nd with a time of 48.14
  • 800m Run – Emma Anziano placed 2nd with a time of 2:22.83, and Hailey Cassidy placed 5th with a time of 2:33.95
  • 3200m Run – Meara Bodak placed 5th with a time of 12:34.76
  • 4 x 400m Relay – the HK team of Autumn Coady, Julia Callis, Elena Boyington, and Ashley Duncanson placed 2nd with a time of 4:18.31
  • Shot Put – Gabby Lester placed 2nd with a distance of 30’08.50″
  • Pole Vault – Morgan Schultz placed 5th with a distance of 7’06.00″
  • Discus Throw – Gabby Lester placed 5th with a distance of 75’00.00″
  • Javelin – Amanda Minervino placed 1st with a distance of 109’10.00″
