Shad Museum: Demonstration Day to be Held May 16

The Haddam Shad Museum Demonstration Day
Sunday, May 16, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

On Sunday, May 16, 2021 the Haddam Shad Museum will have live demonstrations of planking shad on an open fire with Jack Calhoun and Lenny Kochanowski and boning shad with JB Lundgren (11:00 a.m.). FREE and OPEN TO ALL!

The delightful Haddam Shad Museum is open on Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. until June 13, 2021. The museum is a true gem which tells the story of the shad fishing in the Connecticut River Valley and the importance it has played in the development of the Connecticut and Haddam. Dr. Joe Zaientz, founder and other local celebrity fishermen will be available to answer questions and tell you everything you need to know about shad.
