Higganum/Haddam

According to Kelly Morin, a few volunteers are helping to bring Santa through Higganum in a festive but socially distanced fashion this weekend. Santa’s Higganum route has been posted (below) by Santa’s resident elves and on town Facebook groups’ pages.

“This has been such a hard year for everyone, we just wanted to end the year with some joy!” said Chelsea Cleveland, one of the local people coordinating this event with the Morin family, and of course, Santa Claus!

All the good boys and girls of Haddam/Higganum are invited to find an intersection nearby to stand and wave to Santa this Saturday, December 19, 2020. A broad perimeter of town will be made so that Santa will get to see all the kids who may have missed their chance at seeing him this holiday season due to COVID. Santa will be riding on a trailer pulled by a truck through town. Please wear masks if you are standing with other families.

SANTA will be making his way through Higganum via a trailer pulled by Higganum’s own Cleves Giant Pumpkin truck. Look for his pace car with a blinking red light!

BUNDLE UP and maybe warm your hands with a mug of hot cocoa!!! We hope you can find a spot to wave, be it your driveway, intersection, or socially distanced spot in a parking lot. We did our best trying to make it work, as we know Santa is a busy man and we don’t want him to catch a chill before his big day.
