(July 19, 2022) — After months of discussions, the Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that the Rocky Hill Chamber of Commerce will be joining forces with the Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce. This will unite nearly 2,250 businesses that will operate together in an effort to provide more for their membership base by leveraging resources to enhance the economic health of our business community and facilitate regional business growth and retention. This acquisition was solidified following the unanimous approval by the Boards of Directors from the two respective chambers.
This is a great opportunity for the Middlesex Chamber to provide enhanced services and expand programming to Rocky Hill members. They will have the opportunity to join in on nearly 25 committees and councils representing all industry sectors, such as the Affordable Housing Committee, Legislative Committee, Real Estate Council, Women’s Leadership Collaborative and many, many more.
“The benefits and growth opportunities of membership in the Middlesex Chamber are boundless and I look forward to growing stronger together under their umbrella,” said Henry Vasel, President, of the Rocky Hill Chamber of Commerce.
Our chambers of commerce play a vital role in sustaining strong and prosperous communities by delivering focused assistance and advocacy efforts that empower businesses with critical resources, and presenting beloved community events that boost our local economies.
Johanna Bond, Chief Operating Officer for the Middlesex Chamber added, “It has been a great honor working with the Rocky Hill Chamber leadership team on this transition. We are truly looking forward to partnering with Rocky Hill businesses and the community at large.”
The focus this upcoming year will be on engagement and collaboration, noting that there are countless opportunities for connections that will increase value, and position the Chamber for future growth and success.
“We’re really excited about bringing Rocky Hill into our chamber and feel it will bring great synergy, especially along the I-91 and Connecticut River corridors,” said Middlesex Chamber President Larry McHugh. “I’m looking forward to working with the Rocky Hill business community to continue the economic growth in the region.”
The transition has already begun, as efforts are underway to incorporate all Rocky Hill members into the Middlesex Chamber’s computer systems. In fact, the Rocky Hill Division is already live on the Middlesex Chamber website.
