River’s Edge Home Center to Celebrate Grand Re-Opening June 25, 2019

By Kathy Brown.

In June of 2014, Lou and Gianna Milardo purchased River’s Edge Tile & Carpet in Tylerville. On June 25, 2019, they will celebrate a grand re-opening of River’s Edge Home Center from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.  There will be a ribbon cutting with the Middlesex Chamber of Commerce, free appetizers, beer and wine, and the public is invited to come see all that they have to offer.

River’s Edge 2014

When the Milardo’s began, the store supplied and installed flooring. In January 2018, they started their expansion. It has blossomed to include not only flooring of all types: solid wood, engineered wood, Luxury Vinyl Planking, fiber flooring, floating floor; porcelain and ceramic tile; wall to wall carpet, indoor/outdoor carpet, and custom runners; but also countertops – quartz, granite, laminate, and solid surface, Hunter Douglas blinds, Moen faucets and plumbing, vanities, Fabuwood cabinetry, and rustic furniture from the Adirondacks. They sell and install both residential and commercial, and install flooring of all types in boats as well.

They have many brands of each type of flooring. They are a Hallmark Spotlight Dealer; they also sell Somerset hardwood flooring, Harris Wood (made in the USA), Tarkett fiber flooring (which is certified asthma and allergy friendly), Floornation luxury vinyl flooring, Appalachian wood flooring, Signature BSL, and more. For tile, they have brands such as Merola, East Coast, Earthen Treasures, Unicom Starker, UCTD, and Royalty Ceramic Collection. Countertops run from Han Stone Quartz, made in North America, to Spectrum Quartz, to Wilsonart solid surface.

I was particularly impressed with laminate for counters. It does not look like what is on my countertops. The one on display in their new showroom has a marble look, rounded edges, and an undermount sink! Gianna also showed me the “roll vinyl flooring” in their kitchen. It does not look like Grandma’s vinyl flooring. It has a “give” to it that I’d like in my own kitchen, and it can look like tile or wood. Touring their new showroom made me want to update my kitchen, refinish the treads on my stairs, and update the vanity in my bathroom! Come see what they have to offer at their Grand Re-opening, and if you cannot make it to that celebration, just stop by and see what they have to offer, including framed pictures from a local photographer.
