Poetry: I Will Not Keep You

By E. Ann Baldwin, of Higganum.

I Will Not Keep You

Words flow
pen writes
birthing the newness of
syllables garnered with left
hand and trying not to leave a
question of sorts.
My left hand is keeping diligent
pace across the cold press
paper of yore.
I do not fumble but move
slowly in time
adjusting the abandoned
cluster of chosen words.
Shout now! And I will see you…,,,,
