October Events at the Killingworth Library

Saturday Storytimes continue through the month of October! Join us from 10:00am-10:30am for fabulous tales and fun crafts! Storytime will be held outside on the library’s grounds, weather permitting. Adults must remain with their children during the duration of the event. Suggested ages 2-5.

Tween Book Club – Wednesday, October 20th at 6:00pm. Our Tween Book Club continues for the fall! Join us as we discuss the graphic novel Zita the Space Girl (book one) by Ben Hatke.
The club will meet inside the library. We are currently limiting attendance to four participants, and masks will be required. Snacks and beverages will be served, and extra copies of the book are available at the circulation desk for checkout. For ages 9-12.

Teen Book Club – Wednesday, October 27th at 6:00pm. Our Teen Book Club continues for the fall! Join us as we discuss the graphic novel Estranged by Ethan M. Aldridge. The club will meet inside the library. We are currently limiting attendance to six vaccinated participants. Food and beverages will be served, and extra copies of the book are available at the circulation desk for checkout. For ages 13-17.

Spooky Riddle Walk – Friday, October 29th, 3:00pm-5:00pm and Saturday, October 30th, 10:00am-noon. Families with young children are invited to don their Halloween costumes and visit the library’s back yard for our outdoor story stroll, featuring Halloween-themed riddles and fun games! The yard will also have not-too-scary decorations for photos, so be sure to bring your phone or camera. Present your Killingworth Library card at the end of the walk to receive a free mini pumpkin, to take home for decorating. Please register in advance to ensure we have enough prizes on hand!
