Peter Arseneault

January 30, 1948 – November 21, 2018

Peter Arseneault, 70, of Haddam beloved husband of Dale (Manzone) Arseneault passed peacefully Wednesday November 21, 2018 at Middlesex Hospital with his family at his side.

Peter was born in New Bedford, Massachusetts, son of the late Lacida and Catherine (Lavigne) Arseneault. 

Prior to his retirement Peter was employed with the State of Connecticut Department of Transportation.  He served as Selectman for the Town of Haddam  and was on the Planning and Zoning Board.  He was a member of the Republican Town Committee.  Peter was a longtime Communicant of Saint Peter Church in Higganum. In his younger years, he enjoyed sailing on his Hobie, and water skiing.  In the winter he enjoyed skiing, which is where he met Dale. He took great pride in the log cabin home he built along with family and friends. Most importantly, he will be remembered as a devoted and loving husband, father and family man.

Besides his wife, Peter is survived by a daughter, Leah Arseneault of Haddam, a son, Peter Arseneault and his wife Sarah of Haddam, a brother, Paul Arseneault of Haddam, and a newly born grandson, Brady.

Peter’s family would like to thank Dr. Mario Amleto of Higganum Family Medical for the special care and attention he provided to Peter.

A Funeral Liturgy will be held Saturday December 1st at 11 a.m. at Saint Peter Church 30 Saint Peter Lane Higganum.  Friends may call prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m.  Memorial contributions may be sent to the American Heart Association 5 Brookside Dr. PO Box 5022 Wallingford, CT 06492 or to St. Peter Church PO Box 707 Higganum, CT 06441.
