Middletown’s American Flags for Our Heroes

Submitted by Sierra Lopez, Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce.

(Middletown, CT.) Chairman Don DeVivo and CBB Chairwomen Pamela Steele of the Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce announced that the Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce will be decorating Main Street with American Flags thanks to the contributions of our participants.  The flags will be placed on poles and prominently displayed in downtown Middletown to show support and gratitude to our first responders and American Heroes.

As we are confronted with the global pandemic that is now afflicting our country, we draw strength from the bonds of duty, love, and loyalty that have always sustained our Nation through trying times.  The Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce is working with the Middletown Fire Department and the Alarm Division of the City of Middletown to decorate Middletown’s Main Street with American Flags to show support and gratitude to our first responders and military.  A huge thank you goes out to LABCO Welding, Inc. who graciously donated their time and materials to help us celebrate our first responders, frontline and healthcare workers through Memorial Day until Labor Day. Also, a huge thank you to Al Santostefano who worked with the Alarm Division, Middletown Fire Department and City of Middletown to decorate downtown.

Also, to honor our first responders this year we extended the flags to go along Crescent Street to show our support for all the front-line workers at Middlesex Health.
