Connecticut employers and job seekers won’t want to miss this special recruitment fair!

(Middletown, CT.) Chairwoman, Maureen Westbrook of the Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce announced that the Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce will host their Annual Middlesex County Career Fair on Wednesday, October 13, 2021.

The Middlesex County Career Fair will be held at the Courtyard by Marriot Hartford Cromwell from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

The event is sponsored by the Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce, the Connecticut Department of Labor, and Workforce Alliance.

Middlesex Chamber President Larry McHugh noted, “The Middlesex County Career Fair will host over 40 companies at this year’s fair, which is very important due to the high number of openings.  I want to thank Connecticut Department of Labor and Workforce Alliance for their support of this event especially Interim Commissioner, Danté Bartolomeo of Connecticut Department of Labor.”

Interim Commissioner Danté Bartolomeo said, “Just 18 months ago, businesses were shuttered, and the state was in lockdown. COVID swept through our state and sent hundreds of thousands of people into the unemployment system for help.  Today, Connecticut is moving in the right direction with all economic indicators trending positively.  I thank the Middlesex County Chamber for hosting this Career Fair and providing an opportunity for workers who were hit the hardest by the pandemic to find a great new job or start a new career—this recruitment is an important part of our economic recovery.”

Middlesex Chamber Vice President Johanna Bond noted, “I would like to encourage everyone to join us for our results-oriented career fair! Now more than ever employers need workers and workers need employment. I would also like to thank the Courtyard by Marriot Hartford Cromwell for hosting our special event that will lead to many terrific opportunities.”
