Submitted by Sierra Lopez.

(Middletown, CT.) Chairman, Tom Byrne of the Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce announced that the Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce Business & Education Partnership Program Advisory Council’s Career Exploration Fair is going virtual!

The Business & Education Partnership Program and their career professionals, have agreed to do a series of Virtual Career Exploration presentations for high school students in Middlesex County. This Career Exploration Fair will help students discover skills required in the workplace by listening to the expertise of business and community leaders.

One of the program’s sponsors, Eversource Energy has presented the first Career Panel for participating high schools in Cromwell, Chester/Deep River/Essex, Durham/Middlefield, East Hampton, Middletown, Portland, Old Saybrook, Westbrook, and Vinal Technical High School. This career panel provided attendees with an overview of the many career opportunities with Eversource. The Career Panel include the following: Community Relations and Economic Development Lead Cathy Lezon, Vice President Roger Kranenburg, and Manager of Electric Field Operations Clifford Williams.

Middlesex Chamber President Larry McHugh noted, “These Virtual Career Fair Exploration presentations by willing career professionals will help provide Middlesex County high school students with an opportunity to explore potential careers so that they may better plan their educational goals. This program wouldn’t be possible without the generous sponsorship of Eversource Energy, Pratt & Whitney, and Middlesex Community College. Thank you all for your Business & Education Partnership Program support.”

All recorded Virtual Career Exploration seminars can be found on www.middlesexchamber.com.
