(November 17, 2022) — The Buttonwood Tree is pleased to announce a film screening of the local project “Meet The Streets,” documenting the people of Main Street in Middletown. The event is Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at 7:00 p.m. and reservations are requested.

“Meet The Streets” is a video giving voice to those who hang out outside on Main Street Middletown, and also those who have experienced homelessness in our city. Our hope is to dispel stigmas around mental health and/or addiction, and to celebrate those who have helped people who overcame that. Come view this compelling documentary, with an introduction by collaborator Diana Moller-Marino.Diana Moller-Marino is an acting teacher and stage director. Retired from The Hartt School (University of Hartford), Diana teaches privately at her home in Middletown. Each year, Diana works with ten Wesleyan University students who present autobiographical monologues on issues of identity for the incoming Student Orientation. This is Diana’s first time working with the video documentary format.

Marx Chiraboga graduated from Central Connecticut State University with a B.A. in Media Studies. He is a multi-platform creator and promoter, from concept through execution, including video production, editing and copyrighting.
