Haddam residents may remember that there was a Town Meeting on March 14, 2019 (report) to vote on a resolution to purchase easements for the water line at two locations on Little Meadow Road. As a follow-up to the meeting both property owners, Dave Chevrette of 69 Little Meadow and Donald and Marianne Smith of 98 Little Meadow, have agreed and signed the easements that the town was seeking. First Selectman Lizz Milardo stated that she was pleased that the property owners’ concerns were satisfied and the easements have been obtained without the need for court action so that the work on the water main is able to proceed.
Drivers on Bridge Road have seen firsthand evidence of progress on the water project in the form of this fire hydrant in Tylerville.
