Dear HK Community,

A Little Compassion Inc. and The Nest Coffee House would like to thank the Haddam and Killingworth communities for their support of our mission to change the lives of young adults with disabilities through the 31st Annual HK Holiday Show. Being the beneficiary of the HK Holiday Show was a humbling experience and we are overwhelmed with gratitude.

First to the students, teachers and staff of HK’s school system – the dedication, passion, talents and time that you harnessed to put on the show was inspiring. Watching the students take the lead on producing such a complex event for the benefit of others in the community was proof positive that this generation of young adults, as future leaders, will make a lasting impact on the world we are leaving in their capable and compassionate hands.

To the generous HK community members who made it all possible by providing the means for the students to put on the show from donating fishbowl prizes, making donations, promoting the event, donating materials and food items and pitching in to volunteer with helping hands – we thank you and welcome you to our Nest family.

With your financial support will be able to continue our work to provide employment, work experience, social opportunities and important autism and IDD acceptance activities for the many deserving young adults with autism or intellectual/developmental disabilities who call our towns home.

We are grateful to be part of the greater shoreline community that strives to be inclusive, open and welcoming to those of all abilities. We hope you join us at The Nest Coffee House in Deep River for a cup of coffee, lunch or a baked treat so that you can see our mission in action and we, in return, can thank you for your support.

With Great Gratitude,

Jane Moen
Executive Director
