We want to THANK the greater HK community for supporting the Cougar Bowl this past weekend. The students had a fantastic time at our annual flag football game and having the stands filled with supportive spectators meant a lot to us all.
A special thank you goes out to the HKFB coaching staff–Tyler Wilcox, Torren Callender, George Callender, & Barth Keck –who throw the full support of their roster behind us for the Cougar Bowl. Thank you for sharing your players, your practice time, and your expertise with the Den. A big thank-you to Coach Ryan Fraser, who stepped up to help coach our senior squad, and teacher Sherri Periera, who helped monitor stunting for our cheer squad during lunches and after school. Thank you to all the faculty members who came and helped out, and thank you to our HKTV squad for airing the event equipped with commentators!
Lastly, a very special thank you to the HK Touchdown Club for their continued support of the Cougar Bowl. Extra BIG THANK YOU to Cindy Pitts for being the liaison between the school and the Touchdown Club, and to parents Jose Dias (sound), Chris Gamache (scoreboard), and the Schippritt family (concession stand), for their tremendous help on gameday! Thank you again to everyone in the community who came out to support the kids — We know the students appreciated you being there! Sincerely, Ann Deibert and Carlye Kohs DEN Co-Advisors and Cougar Bowl Organizers
