Letter to the Editor: In Support of Peter Sonski for RSD #17 BOE

The views stated here are those of the author and do not necessarily reflect those of the editors of this newspaper.

I urge support for Board of Education candidate Peter Sonski. Peter is a professional in every sense of the word and is thorough in his analysis of the issues facing RSD #17. It is only after careful consideration and listening to all sides of an issue that he makes his decisions. Peter Sonski is a thoughtful and intelligent person who deserves to be re-elected to the Board of Education.

Respectfully,

Edward W. Munster
Haddam, Conn.

  1. Could not disagree more Ed. Me. Sonski failed multiple levels to represent his constituency as an appointed not elected member of the BOE. He vote not once but twice to close
    Haddam Elementary School
He sideed with the Killing worth minority to do so. He eliminated the anchor location in Higganum village that brought the largest number of potential customers to support our local businesses, and managed not to save a dime in the BOE budget.

  2. I also disagree with you Ed. Not only did Mr Sonski support a very unpopular decision in our town in closing HES, but he was one of the BOE members that had the most hostility to public input, going as far as slamming his fist on tables and raising his voice at people. I’m sure Mr Sonski is a very fine man and family member, but his behavior on the BOE was disheartening. In my business, if someone acted like that I’d frankly be embarrassed. I was very disappointed the Republicans in town supported him for BOE.
