Christine Goupil is an important voice for Killingworth. As a former Clinton First Selectman and member of Clinton’s Planning & Zoning Commission, she literally knows local government from the ground up. In several forums, she has demonstrated her in-depth knowledge of the way local government is helped or hindered by state laws. She has used her knowledge to help residents find ways to address the issues that affect them most directly, from rising rents to local emergency response times.
She voted to eliminate taxes on pensions and annuities for seniors with limited incomes. She’s helped to put in place laws that strengthen our schools and preschool programs. She’s an effective and courageous advocate for our district. And she has earned the respect of her fellow legislators, which will allow her to accomplish even more in the coming term.
