Letter to the Editor: In Support of Dupuis

I am the Town Treasurer of Killingworth having served for the past twelve years and will not be seeking re-election in November.  I’m writing this letter in support of Donna Dupuis as the Democratic candidate for Treasurer.  She has lived in Killingworth with her husband Joe for 32 years.  She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Services and Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Studies.  Donna worked for AT&T for 36 years as a Computer Programmer, in Marketing, as Account Manager, and other customer related services. After leaving AT&T, she processed payroll for a company with 200 employees.  She is a Volunteer District Coordinator and Instructor of the AARP Driver Safety program, a Volunteer Usher at the Ivoryton Playhouse, and an Associate Member of the Killingworth Historical Society.  Donna has demonstrated her willingness to help out all staff and has shown she is an independent thinker and highly motivated.  She recognizes the important role the town Treasurer plays, overseeing all deposits and disbursements, reporting to the Board of Finance, and serving as a contact with the town’s financial advisors, banking officials, and others.  With her strong interpersonal skills and detail-oriented work experience, I am confident she would act in the town’s best interest and I enthusiastically recommend her for the position of the Killingworth Town Treasurer.
