Board of Finance Hearing on Preliminary FY22 Budget
Thursday, April 8, 7 pm
The Board of Finance will hold a hearing on the town operating and capital budgets for FY22. Normally, the Annual Town Meeting would vote on these proposed budgets, but since we cannot hold a town meeting safely during the COVID pandemic, the Board of Selectmen has removed the budgets to a referendum, which will be held on May 4, along with the referendum on the RSD17 school budget.

Board of Selectmen Hearing on Tax Abatements for First Responders

To encourage and increase volunteer participation in the town’s fire, ambulance, and emergency services, the selectmen propose to increase and expand tax abatements for these volunteers, as authorized by General Statutes § 12-81w. Killingworth Charter Revision Commission Public Hearing
Wednesday, April 14, 7 pm
This is the second pre-drafting hearing on the Charter, which the town has revised five times since it was first adopted in 1981. Any revisions the commission proposes will ultimately be put to referendum, but the commission is eager to hear your ideas before they begin drafting their proposals.
