Letter Writing Social – Friday, January 5, 2024 from 1:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. Experiment with different pens, try your hand at typing, compose your thoughts, connect with a family member or pen pal (maybe an author?), practice your penmanship… and have fun! Various writing implements, stationery, postcards, and stamps will be available. No registration needed; just drop in to the meeting room, grab some supplies, and write away!

Paper Marbling Workshop – Friday, January 12, 2024 from 6:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. Marbled paper is an art form with a long history of use in bookbinding, stationery, and calligraphy. In this workshop, we’ll briefly learn about the history of the craft before trying it ourselves. All participants will get to bring home their own marbled masterpiece. Materials will be provided, but participants are welcome to bring their own fabric or paper to experiment with. Please note that these inks will stain clothing. Registration required.

LEGO STEM Club – Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at 5:45 p.m. Future engineers! Learn to use the STEM steps to success as you solve a problem, plan and create a design, and then test your project. This week’s project is creating the Tallest Tower. It’s even more fun when you collaborate with another engineer – so spread the word. Suitable for elementary grades 1 through 4. Registration required.

Veterans Office Hours – Thursday, January 18, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to Noon. Killingworth’s Veterans Representative will hold open office hours at the Killingworth Library. No appointment necessary; just drop in. If you would like to schedule a meeting at a different time, please contact Dick Mason at veterans@townofkillingworth.com.

American Girl Doll Club – Thursday, January 25, 2024 at 5:45 p.m. Join us with your favorite doll (it doesn’t have to be an American Girl doll) and make new friends. Please note that adults must remain on the premises with children under the age of 12. Registration required.
